2017

Steel, lightproof blankets, video projection, and sourced photographs.

Every year, glaciers in the Swiss Alps, Italy, and Austria are covered in miles of insulating and lightproof blankets, in an effort to slow the accelerating loss of their ice. While these initiatives undermine the effects of climate change in up to 80%, the glaciers continue to disappear underneath the white blankets. Covered, like corpses whose concealment becomes ever more present. Retreating, and leaving behind a landscape expropriated by the rising temperatures.
