The scars our cities leave on Earth

White Hydrostone. Approximate total dimensions: 215 x 45 x 58 cm

Scars our cities leave on Earth reflects on processes of material extraction-transformation, looking at the human being as a geological force and placing it in relation to other processes of erosion and geological configuration that take place in our planet. The project is formed by a series of replicas of road cracks and pits from the cities of Chicago and Madrid. Due to the morphological characteristics of these potholes, the replicas develop micro-macro relationships to other geological landforms, establishing connections between the built environment and the potential places and processes of material displacement where these come from.
